An exciting position has arisen for a full-time Primary Speech and language experienced Assistant to join a friendly and support team in Redbridge, East London. You must have experience in this field to apply. You will be required to work in KS2. This is an excellent position if you wish to gain some classroom experience prior to beginning your career in Speech & Language Therapy.

• Redbridge, East London
• Full-time position working Mondays – Fridays on a long-term basis 08.30-4pm
• Experience required (Voluntary or paid)
• Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and complex needs
• 1:1 and group work support
• Earn £70-85 per day

What You Will Do

• You will be required to work with small groups or 1:1 developing pupils ability in Speech and Language, social and academic skills
• To ensure that the pupil receives targeted support, appropriate to their needs
• To liaise with the specialist speech and language therapist
• To assist in monitoring the progress of the pupil in all areas of learning and to keep records as requested.
• Work within a team of professionals, therapists and support assistants so the pupils benefit from a range of teaching styles.
• Provide reviews and assist with assessments for pupils progress
• Assist the teacher with general teaching assistant duties.
• Build a strong rapport with the students you are working with and parents
